Manager of Human Resources

Acumen Medical Communications, a leader in medical writing services, is looking for a full-time remote Manager of Human Resources -- an organized and proactive HR manager to help shape our HR policies and practices in an employee-first organization where we nurture ideas and prioritize professional growth in a dynamic environment that drives both organizational success and employee career advancement.

The HR Manager is responsible for a broad range of HR functions, including personnel management, employee policies and procedures management, state and federal employment compliance, benefits management, HR systems management, and payroll support. Working closely with Acumen managers, the HR Manager plays a vital role in implementing an innovative HR strategy aligned with Acumen’s mission and growth objectives by upholding our core values and championing initiatives that foster team growth, create clear career pathways, and facilitate employee communications. 

The salary range is $125,000 - $130,000. Acumen also offers a generous benefits package (e.g., health, dental and vision insurance, profit share, 401K match, and performance-based bonuses). This is a full time, remote position based in Massachusetts and requires proof of eligibility to work in the US.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Additional HR certification preferred.

• 3-5 years demonstrated experience in HR administration, including payroll, recruitment, and employee relations in a fast-paced environment.

• Sound knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

• Proficiency in HR information systems and payroll software (e.g., Gusto).

• Experience within the technology, healthcare, or a related industry is highly desired.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• A proactive and collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture.
