Senior Regulatory/Medical Editor - Contract
Since its founding in 2016, Acumen Medical Communications has served its clients in the pharmaceutical industry with the highest quality medical writing and clinical development expertise. As our reputation for excellence spreads throughout industry, we need talented medical writers and editors who can integrate into our internal culture of collaboration, innovation, and creative thinking to meet the increasing demand for services. We're in search of contract Senior Editors for remote positions. Candidates must be highly proficient in MS Word and English grammar, detail-oriented, be able to work independently, and be flexible to meet often tight, shifting deadlines. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in editing scientific data within the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare as well as proficiency in the use of Style Guides and/or the AMA Manual of Style are required. Our compensation is highly competitive; contract editors range from $80 to $130 an hour, based on experience.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with authoring medical writer to align on the scope and specifications of the editorial/quality review
Line-edit and format documents to ensure cohesiveness and internal consistency
Align document to pre-set templates, regulatory guidance, and or style guide
Perform data checks against source documents, including TLFs
Update/add references using EndNote or other reference software
Provide concise and clear editing suggestions to authoring medical writer
